RE, HISTORY OF NKPOR-THE TRUE STORY Most recently it was discovered in an internet publication a fabricated story by an unknown person captioned the story of Nkpor dated 2007 was put in place in the purported story it was alleged that Nkpor means Nkpogha which is nonsense in itself and that Akuzor an integral part of Nkpor an adopted son of Umusiome this is an abomination Infact the name Nkpor means Nkpo adighi na igba ogaghi ara onu which means that without the fastening peg that makes the leather in a drum fully stretched the sound will be flat i.e. that with Nkpor’s gallantly if not with him one will not succeed. On Akuzor family: Akuzor is the first son of Umusiome,Ezeana Nkpor the highest royal priest of Nkpor in charge of okwuana Nkpor N.B as an Igbo adage put it “Mbiambia adighi ebu isi ana”,meaning a stranger must never head the leadership of land.if Akuzor were an integral part of Nkpor and adopted son of Umusiome the family cannot and must be the highest priest of Nkpor ezeana and in charge of Okwuana Nkpor. In any gathering in Nkpor Akuzor is the first person to reciev e cola nut before orders also in any gathering in Umusiome Akuzor will be the first to receive cola nut because,Akuzor is the in Nkpor and in Umusiome. Because we are the UmuEzeani of Nkpor,Egbeugulu family ,Ezesili family and Nwania family;these three families is Akuzor. 1. Egbeugulu family is in charge of Okwuana Nkpor, the chief priest 2.
